SHERATON HOTEL HVAC PLANT UPGRADE AND PUBLIC AREAS REFURBISHMENT
Following successful completion of the refurbishment of 256 guest rooms in July 2010, we were pleased to be awarded the contract for this 5 star hotel’s HVAC plant upgrade. The £700,000 contract commenced in November 2010 and, with project completion programmed for February 2011, the work was carried out during the worst winter in living memory: replacing the boiler plant without loss of hot water to the hotel, refurbishing the existing air handling units and installation of a new chiller – all while the hotel remained fully operational. We were then awarded the Public Areas refurbishment by Main Contractor, Thomas Johnstone, with whom we had successfully completed the refurbishment of the Dormy Clubhouse at Gleneagles Resort & Spa. Valued at £3.2m, work in the public areas started in June, with the first of 7 zones completed in November. The final handover of all areas is to take place at the end of February, 2012.
