Description

This contract involved the complete refurbishment of the interior of the Victorian listed 4 storey Crescent Arts Centre and the preservation of the exterior façade.

The centre, completed on time in March 2010, provides social facilities for the local community and consists of multipurpose areas, galleries, cafe, dressing rooms, workshop areas, dance studio, shower/WC facilities, general amenities and offices.

As a Listed building, the structural complexity along with restricted service void availability meant that co–ordination and integration of mechanical and electrical installations was paramount in returning an architecturally satisfying and maintainable building, whilst preserving the building elements required by the heritage committee.
