Vaughan were awarded the Mechanical and Electrical building services works on the 4,300m2 redevelopment of the prestigious new Lyric Theatre in Belfast.

Designed by award–winning architects O’Donnell & Tuomey, this new state–of–the–art theatre on the banks of the River Lagan promises to transform the cultural landscape of Northern Ireland. Scheduled to open in 2011, the new facilities will include a 394 seat main auditorium, a 150 seat studio theatre, a rehearsal room, dressing rooms, extensive riverfront foyers and bar, technical facilities and office accommodation.

The total construction cost was £19million. It was completed on time and opened to the public in May 2011.
