CAD Co-Ordination Capabilities

Starting with a Structural 2D floor plan within AutoCAD...

Structural 2D Floor Plan

Utilising AutoCAD Architecture, we begin to build a fully detailed 3D model of the entire building, the example here being the basement area of the new Critical Care Unit at Royal Hospital

3D Model of Entire Building

Once all the floors have been modelled, we then use this model as a basis to begin our services co-ordination

Services Co-ordination

Using a combination of

Autodesk

the latest 3D mechanical & electrical services packages from both Autodesk “AutoCAD MEP” & MAP’s “CADDUCT” we begin laying out every service within each floor of the model, building up a true reflection of what will be installed on site.

Once the services have been placed into the model, we switch over to the Navisworks suite of software and can then walk through the completed model in real-time exploring ways to improve access to plant or better and more efficient ways to run services eliminating the potential of services clashes on site.

Navisworks - Real time walk throughs

The completed model provides the ability to output specific services drawings, fabrication drawings and installation drawings to our planning, workshops and site teams.
